Montgomeryshire has at least 11 of the 17 species that are considered resident in the UK and a great deal of bat-friendly habitat, but there are many unanswered questions about how and where they live. Their secretive lives play out all around us, often even in our homes, and yet we usually catch only fleeting glimpses of them.
